How many aid stations are there?
We will be providing 16 aid stations on the Marathon route and 9 on the Half Marathon. Each station will feature:
- Portable Rest Room
- Aid Staff (If needed, Mile 14 and all aid stations have radios to communicate with emergency personnel)
- Gel station will be located at the Mile 14 aid station for marathoners and at the Mile 19.5 aid station
- Food (bagels, bananas, oranges, etc...) will be available at the finish line.
First aid stations with medical volunteers will be located between Miles 8/9, at Mile 17, between Mile 22/23, and at the finish line. Volunteers will patrol the course to ensure any runner needing medical care is taken care of quickly and will arrange necessary transport.
If you are unable to complete the race due to medical reasons, or you are transferred to a local hospital, the information will be forwarded to the Finish Line Aid Station. Your family or friends will be notified as soon as possible. Please be aware that medical staff will pull any runner from the race if they believe the participant is unfit to continue.
